Clearmark

The EU legal guarantee notice, exactly as published

From 27 September 2026, anyone selling goods to consumers in the EU must display a harmonised notice about the legal guarantee of conformity, prominently, online as well as in shops. Clearmark puts it on your Shopify storefront in one click.

Why "exactly as published" matters.

The notice's design and content are fixed by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960. The Commission's guidelines say plainly: do not alter the border or inner separator, do not change the colours or apply filters, do not distort, modify or separate its elements, and use the files supplied. We serve the Commission's own SVG, byte for byte, and verify it with a checksum on every release. It is not a redrawn lookalike.

What it does

What about the GARAN label?

GARAN is the separate harmonised label for a commercial guarantee of durability. It is voluntary, and it only applies where the producer offers a free guarantee covering the whole product for longer than the two-year legal guarantee. Most shops do not have one, and showing a GARAN label without that producer guarantee behind it would be a false claim. Clearmark shows it only on the products where you record that producer guarantee, and nowhere else. Who may use it.

Who it applies to

The obligation follows the seller, not the shopper. If you sell goods to consumers in the EU, it applies whether you are based in Germany, the UK, the United States or Canada.

Pricing

Free: the mandatory notice in all 24 languages, as a card or a link, the order email block, and the GARAN label on 5 products, with no usage limit. Pro, $4.99 a month with a 14-day free trial: the notice always visible with no click, shown only to shoppers in the EU and EEA if you also sell elsewhere, and the GARAN label on unlimited products.

Clearmark displays the notice required of sellers. It is not legal advice, and whether the obligation applies to your business is your decision to make.
